You can apply even if you have not taken the EJU. You are assessed with an individual interview and an oral examination (by field, such as Mathematics I and Information I).

Good to know before applying
- You cannot apply to the General International Student Selection and the EJU-Based Selection at the same time.
- The attendance rate at the Japanese-language school or vocational school you currently attend must in principle be 85% or more (if not, a statement of reasons from your school is needed). An attendance record report is required.
- Internet application input must be completed by 16:00 on the final day. Application documents must arrive by the deadline (by mail).
- Application documents and the application fee (¥30,000) once accepted are not refunded.
- Even after completing the enrollment procedures, if you submit a withdrawal notice by noon on March 31, 2027, the fees paid are refunded except for the admission fee (the admission fee is not refunded). A refund takes about 2 weeks.

Privately funded international students receive a ¥210,000 tuition reduction per semester, so the payment due in the first year is ¥1,140,000 (¥1,595,000 for regular students). The reduction is decided based on attendance, grades, etc., and may not apply. At enrollment you pay the admission fee of ¥270,000 + first-semester tuition.

Scholarships
- Tuition reduction for privately funded international students: tuition is reduced by ¥210,000 per semester (¥420,000 a year). Supporters' association fee and alumni association fee are ¥0. Decided based on attendance, grades, etc.
Student life support
We could not find a school dormitory in official materials. The Ashikaga University Apartment Cooperation Association introduces apartments and boarding houses (some with meals) around the Omae Campus.
