Application periods differ greatly by faculty (Informatics and Data Science in September, Science and Law, Politics and Economics in October, Letters in October-November, Engineering and Education in January)
For Letters, Law, Politics and Economics, Science and Informatics, only scores from the June 2026 EJU sitting are valid. You cannot apply unless you reach each faculty's cut-off score (70-80%)
Those who graduated from a Japanese high school or similar cannot apply. Permanent residents of Japan are also excluded
For Science, Engineering and Informatics (and also Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences), TOEFL or TOEIC L&R scores are an application requirement. For Engineering and Informatics, Home Edition and ITP are not accepted
Online registration and paying the application fee alone do not complete the application; it is complete only when the application documents arrive within the period. Contents cannot be changed after the documents are received
