You can apply in English even if you cannot speak Japanese. After acceptance, you study Japanese intensively for 6 months, then move on to a 4-year program studying Japanese language and society.

Good to know before applying
- Only the score from one session of the EJU (November 2024, June 2025, November 2025 or June 2026) is valid; scores from different sessions cannot be combined. You cannot apply unless you meet the minimum scores for each faculty.
- You must have attended a school abroad continuously for at least 2 years, including the final year.
- Application documents must arrive between Sep 14 and Sep 18 by 5 p.m. (registered mail, EMS, etc.). Online registration and paying the screening fee alone do not complete your application.
- The Frontier Admission, International Integrated Admission, selection for returnee students and Privately Funded International Student Admission are held on the same exam date, so you cannot apply to more than one of them.
- The Department of Medicine requires TOEFL iBT 79 or higher or TOEIC L&R 750 or higher to apply.

Scholarships
- Entrance fee reduction (deferral) and tuition reduction for international students - for financial reasons and excellent academic performance, etc. Apply at the time of enrollment procedures.
- ISP: the entrance fee is fully waived for those entering the bachelor's course in October 2027. An ISP scholarship program is available.
