Good to know before applying

  1. The EJU can be used only from the 1st and 2nd sittings of the 2025 academic year and the 1st sitting of the 2026 academic year. Japanese (including the written section) of 300 or more, taken in Japanese
  2. You must have completed a 12-year course under a foreign school education system outside Japan and be qualified for university admission in that country. If you apply through individual eligibility review, inquire by Nov 6, 2026
  3. Mailed applications are accepted only on Nov 26-27 (postmark counts). If sending from overseas, always contact the school in advance through the contact form
  4. High school graduation certificates and transcripts must be originals (for Certified True Copies, the original issuer must be your school; Japanese language schools do not qualify). A copy of your residence card cannot replace a certificate of residence
  5. You cannot change your chosen faculty or department after applying. The application fee cannot be sent from overseas by remittance (credit card and similar only)

Scholarships

  • Tuition Reduction for International Students - ¥200,000 for humanities faculties, ¥300,000 for science and engineering faculties. For privately funded international students who have difficulty studying for financial reasons (e.g. support from home of ¥90,000 per month or less); from the second year, a GPA of 2.5 or higher

Student life support

International dormitory "Kuritaya Academeia" (international and Japanese students live together). Dormitory fee ¥50,000 per month + ¥5,000 each per month for utilities and program fees (2026 academic year recruitment)
