Good to know before applying
- For the Institutes of Transdisciplinary Sciences, Human and Social Sciences, and Science and Engineering, the November 2026 EJU cannot be used because of the selection dates. You are disqualified if you do not take the designated subjects.
- An external English test score is required for all schools (obtained since April 2024). For Cambridge English and IELTS, you are disqualified unless you arrange for the score to be sent to the university.
- Application documents must arrive by Nov 9 by registered express mail or EMS. Registering and paying the screening fee does not complete your application, and you cannot change your registered details after paying.
- Applicants to the School of Education in the Institute of Human and Social Sciences or the Institute of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health Sciences must take the exam in Japan (the admission-before-arriving-in-Japan system cannot be used).
- Those with permanent residence in Japan cannot apply. After enrollment, if your status of residence is anything other than "Student," you cannot use support programs for international students.
