Good to know before applying

  1. If you are enrolled at a school in Japan with the "Student" residence status, you need a total attendance rate of 90% or higher at your current school at the time of application.
  2. The exams you can apply to depend on your residence status at the time of application. People without a residence status (living abroad) can apply only to International Student Admission Round 1 and Comprehensive Selection Rounds 1 and 2.
  3. Documents proving your study status in Japan (attendance and grades) are valid only if issued within 30 days before the start of the application period.
  4. If documents are incomplete, documents proving financial support are not submitted by the deadline, or there is a poor record of compliance with residence status requirements or false applications, the university does not issue the documents needed for the Certificate of Eligibility application.
  5. If payment of the enrollment fees is not completed by the enrollment procedure deadline, it is treated as a withdrawal. Procedures after the deadline are not allowed for any reason.
