Good to know before applying

  1. The Faculty of Multicultural Societies has an earlier application period than other faculties (October 9 to 16, 2026; exam on November 11). You cannot apply to multiple faculties whose exams fall on the same day.
  2. You cannot pass unless you have taken all the EJU subjects designated by your chosen faculty and department. The Faculty of Engineering, School of Information and Data Sciences A (Japanese 240 or more), and Faculty of Environmental Science (Japanese 320 or more) also have a minimum Japanese score.
  3. For the Faculty of Multicultural Societies (TOEFL iBT 61, TOEIC 730, IELTS 5.5), the Faculty of Education's Elementary School, Early Childhood, Special Needs, and Junior High humanities "Social Studies" (TOEFL iBT 41, TOEIC 400), and the Faculty of Economics (TOEFL iBT 39, TOEIC 385), a minimum foreign language test score is an application requirement. For the TOEFL iBT, only Test Date scores count.
  4. After online registration and paying the application screening fee, mail your documents so they arrive by 5 p.m. on the deadline (within Japan by simple registered express mail; from abroad by EMS, DHL, etc.). Hand delivery is not possible.
  5. Enrollment procedures are by mail only (no hand delivery). If documents do not arrive by 4 p.m. on the due date, you will be deemed to have declined admission. Admission fees already paid are not refunded.
