About the school
A national university founded in 1949. It has 2,892 students, including 124 international students (undergraduate 15 · graduate 109). There are 210 faculty members, 22 of them from outside Japan. It has exchange agreements with 97 universities in 33 countries and regions.

Good to know before applying
- Applicants must be women without Japanese nationality. If your gender on your family register or passport differs from your gender identity, notify the Admissions Division by Oct 30.
- If you have not taken the designated subjects on the 2026 EJU (June or November), you cannot be admitted even if you take the university's exam.
- Apply only by registered express mail, arriving Dec 1–7 (domestic postmarks up to Dec 6 are accepted). Pay the application fee at a convenience store by 9:00 on the deadline day.
- The address for sending your exam admission ticket and for contact from the university must be in Japan.
- Incomplete documents are not accepted. After acceptance, documents cannot be changed or returned, and the application fee is not refunded. The admission fee is not refunded.

Applicant information sheet, photo card and examination ticket, originals of the graduation (expected) certificate and transcript, letter of recommendation, handwritten essay in Japanese (up to 1,000 characters), copy of the 2026 EJU admission ticket, TOEFL results (Physics and Food and Nutrition only), copy of residence certificate, etc. (for residents outside Japan, a copy of the passport, etc.)

Scholarships
- Deferral of admission fee and tuition: students who find it hard to pay for financial reasons and have excellent academic records, among others can defer until Sep 30 (apply for the admission fee deferral within the enrollment procedure period).
- Scholarship for top-performing undergraduates: awarded to third-year students whose Year 1 and 2 grades are especially outstanding.
