Good to know before applying

  1. For applications from within Japan, your attendance rate (calculated by hours) must be 85% or higher for the Department of Information Expression and 80% or higher for other departments, and your monthly attendance rate while enrolled must never have fallen below 80%.
  2. Applicants abroad can only use Schedule A or B because of the Certificate of Eligibility application. If you apply in Schedule C, your documents are not accepted and the application fee is not refunded.
  3. Applicants who fail document screening cannot take the later exams and cannot request a refund of the application fee because of the rejection. Incomplete documents also lead to rejection at document screening.
  4. Mailed documents must arrive by the deadline (not accepted at the counter). Even if the web application and payment of the application fee are done, if your documents do not arrive by the deadline you are rejected at document screening.
  5. If application documents are forged, altered or false, admission is canceled even after you pass. Unless specifically instructed, using generative AI for application documents is not allowed.
