Good to know before applying

  1. The top of the page says "Notice: applications from international students for the 2026 academic year have closed (the places filled up because admission is capped)". Because it closes as soon as the quota is filled, check with the school before applying
  2. If you are enrolled in a Japanese language school, vocational school or similar in Japan, you need attendance of 80% or higher (Recommendation A 90%, Recommendation B 85%). If attendance is low, your extension of stay may be denied and your admission canceled
  3. The deadline for submitting the full set of application documents from overseas is around the end of November (inquire for December onward). You generally come to the school to take the exam
  4. You cannot change from the "Technical Intern Training" residence status to a student status. For "Dependent" and "Spouse of Japanese National," meeting the requirements for changing to "Student" is a condition of passing
  5. The application fee and admission fee are not refunded. If you withdraw by March 31, 2027, tuition and other school fees, excluding the application fee and admission fee is refunded. Submitted documents are not returned
