Good to know before applying
- You must have your eligibility to apply confirmed before applying. Mail the confirmation form and copies of your last school's graduation certificate and transcript to the Admissions Office by Friday, Dec 25, 2026. People with Japanese permanent residency cannot apply.
- If you lack any of the 2026 EJU (June or November) subjects that your chosen faculty requires, you are not eligible and are disqualified. The Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Economics have minimum EJU score requirements.
- Taking the TOEFL iBT is required for the Faculties of Economics, Art and Design, and Sustainable Design (Faculty of Science: any one external English test; Faculty of Engineering: TOEFL only if you did not study English in high school). Scores must be within 2 years of the last day of the application period.
- After online registration, apply by registered express mail (EMS etc. from abroad), which must arrive within the period. Hand delivery is not accepted, and inquiries about arrival are not answered. You cannot change your faculty, department, or elective subjects after applying.
- If you miss any part of the designated exams, you are disqualified. If you are late for the interview time, in principle you cannot take it.

The student dormitory "Shinju-ryo" in the Teramachi area has an application form for privately funded international students (privately funded students can live there for up to 2 years). The Gofuku International House excludes privately funded students in regular degree programs.
