Good to know before applying
- A Japanese ability standard is required to apply (any one of JLPT N2 or higher, EJU Japanese 200 or more, or J.TEST Level C 600 or more). EJU and J.TEST scores must come from designated sessions (for Schedule A, EJU from June 2025 to June 2026).
- Schedule B is only for people living in Japan. Schedule A also accepts applicants living outside Japan, but the exam is held at the university's campus.
- If you are unsure about your eligibility to apply, consult the Admissions PR Office at least 1 month before the deadline. People who need an "admission eligibility review" must have documents arrive by October 20, 2026 (2nd round, Schedules A and B) or December 16 (3rd round, Schedule B).
- Mail your application documents by registered mail (kani kakitome); they must arrive by the last day of the application period. The examination fee is not refunded except for errors such as double payment, and you generally cannot change your faculty or department after applying.
- If you are 15 minutes or more late for the start of the essay, you lose your right to take the exam. There is no school bus on exam day (about a 15-minute walk from Tsurukawa Station).
