Good to know before applying

  1. People who have attended junior high or high school under the Japanese education system for more than 2 years in total cannot apply.
  2. You must score at or above the average in each subject and each Japanese area in a single EJU sitting. If you applied expecting to take the November 2026 sitting and do not reach the standard, you fail regardless of the university's own exam results.
  3. If you apply while living outside Japan, you need an agent living in Japan to handle your exam admission ticket and enrollment documents and to pay the fees (only through financial institutions in Japan). The application fee is paid at a post office in Japan.
  4. Round 2 is only for those who hold a status of residence in Japan (excluding Temporary Visitor). If your period of stay does not run to March 31, 2027, you may not be able to enroll unless you renew it.
  5. The PDF application guidelines and application form are for reference only. To apply, obtain the printed application guidelines. The admission fee once paid is not refunded.
