Matsuyama's gateway on the JR Yosan Line linking Shikoku. Limited express trains toward Okayama and Takamatsu depart from here. The area around the station has been improved by the recent elevation of the tracks. However, the downtown is on the Iyotetsu Matsuyama-shi Station side, so you have to take the streetcar to get there.
