Living in Numazu

The biggest city in eastern Shizuoka Prefecture. The port and the urban area sit side by side so you can live without a car, but there is no Shinkansen station, so if you travel to Tokyo often, Mishima is better.

The biggest city in the east and a living hub on the port. The conventional line splits in two and city buses converge here, so you can live without a car. Seafood is plentiful and rents are clearly lower than in the Tokyo area. There is no Shinkansen station, though, so if you travel to Tokyo often, Mishima is more advantageous.
