Living in Shizuoka Station

An hour between Tokyo and Nagoya. Not being tied to either big city is everything this neighborhood has going for it. However, the entertainment district is not at the station; you have to walk north to reach it.

The gateway to Shizuoka, where the Tokaido Shinkansen stops and conventional lines pass through. Both Tokyo and Nagoya are within an hour or so, so its greatest strength is a location that is not tied to either one. Commercial facilities continue through the underground shopping arcade and the station building, so grocery shopping and dining are taken care of at the station. However, you have to walk a little north of the station to reach the entertainment district.
