Living in Takenotsuka

A commuting hub in northern Adachi Ward, close to Saitama Prefecture. Trains run to Ueno without transferring, and bus terminals at the east and west exits connect the wide surrounding area by bus. In return, fast trains do not stop here, you have to transfer several times for Shinjuku and Shibuya, and because it is low land you must check the flood map.

It is a residential area in northern Adachi Ward from which you can reach Ueno in 24 minutes without transferring. Only local trains stop, and all trains except those bound for Kita-Senju continue onto the Hibiya Line. Shops and a bus terminal cluster east of the station, and the tracks were raised onto an elevated structure in 2022. It is low land between large rivers, so be sure to check the flood map when choosing a home.
