Photo of Sasazuka

A neighborhood in Shibuya Ward with overwhelming directness: about 4 minutes to Shinjuku on the Keio Line. Centered on the Juggodori and Jugozaka shopping streets north of the station, the warmth typical of an old working-class neighborhood is still alive, and reasonable rents for Shibuya Ward coexist with lively independent shops and food alleys. It suits people who want to live close to work in the Shinjuku and Shibuya area while also enjoying the energy of a shopping street.

A good-value neighborhood for living alone in western Shibuya Ward, where the Keio Line and the Keio New Line meet. Shinjuku is only one or two stops away, so access to the city center is overwhelmingly fast, old shopping streets and supermarkets make daily life convenient, and rents are reasonable for the city center. However, the entertainment area is small and the alleys are narrow, so calm and bustle coexist. It is especially well suited to single-person households and young people at the start of their careers who put a Shinjuku commute first.
