Living in Yoyogi

Yoyogi is just one stop from Shinjuku Station, even within walking distance, yet it is a neighborhood where a large park and quiet residential streets sit together. With the Yamanote, Sobu and Oedo lines, plus the Odakyu and Fukutoshin lines reachable on foot, it is a transport hub popular with office workers and international students, but rents are accordingly high even for Tokyo, and right in front of the station there are two sides to it: noise from the bar alleys and traffic jams at the railroad crossing.

It is a quiet residential area right next to Shinjuku, served by the JR Yamanote and Sobu lines and the Toei Oedo Line. Yoyogi Park's greenery is close, and though adjacent to the lively district it remains calm, making it highly popular with office workers and international students. Being in the heart of the city, rents are somewhat high. Its greatest strength is its location, with Shinjuku within walking distance and Shibuya one stop away, so you can get anywhere quickly.
