West of Shinjuku Station, with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and skyscrapers lined up, this is Tokyo's foremost business center. It is only 1 to 2 minutes from Nishi-Shinjuku Station on the Marunouchi Line to Shinjuku Station, so living close to work is overwhelmingly easy. However, prices for new buildings right at the station are among the highest even in Tokyo, and the office-district streets at night have few people, giving the bleakness typical of an office neighborhood.

Nishi-Shinjuku is served by the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line and connects directly to the high-rise district west of Shinjuku Station. It is a business center densely packed with the Metropolitan Government Building and large hotels and offices, but there are residential streets further in. Being adjacent to Shinjuku, it is always bustling and the main roads tend to be congested. With Shinjuku Station within walking distance, you can effectively use every line, and a location close to work is its strength.
