Living in Tennoji

The largest transportation hub in southern Osaka, with Abeno Harukas and big shopping malls right in front of the station. Lines run in every direction, so it is known as a residential area with good transit, and Shoman-chidai to the east is an educational district full of prestigious schools. On the other hand, the west side near Shinsekai and the south toward Nishinari retain an old working-class atmosphere, so even within Tennoji, how the area feels differs sharply by district.

This is southern Osaka's largest transportation hub, where the JR Osaka Loop Line and Hanwa Line meet Kintetsu and the Osaka Metro Midosuji and Tanimachi lines. Abeno Harukas, Japan's tallest building, along with shopping streets and a zoo, make daily life convenient, and rents are reasonable for Minami, so it is regarded as a good-value residential area. Because it is an old urban district, it is worth knowing that the atmosphere varies by area. Umeda, Namba and Kansai Airport are all easy to reach with transfers, making it a location that connects well to anywhere.
