Living in Ofuna

A transfer hub in Kamakura City where six lines meet, counting several JR lines plus the Shonan Monorail. Shopping streets and large commercial facilities around the station make life convenient, and Yokohama is much closer. However, commuting to Tokyo is about the farthest distance you can still manage, and it is a neighborhood where the atmosphere clearly differs between the east exit and the west exit.

Lively shopping streets give it solid daily-life infrastructure, and access in both directions, to Kamakura and to Yokohama, is good. It is an outlying location far from central Tokyo. With multiple lines available and reasonable rents, demand is broadly high among families and office workers.
