Living in Namba

A neighborhood where you can effectively live in one of Osaka's biggest entertainment and shopping districts, with Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi within walking distance. Lines from several operators converge here, so getting anywhere is easy. In exchange, the downtown premium goes straight into your rent, and because tourist and nightlife crowds circulate all day long, you have to accept noise and public-safety concerns as part of the deal.

This is the heart of Minami, the south side of central Osaka, where the Osaka Metro Midosuji, Yotsubashi and Sennichimae lines meet Kintetsu and Nankai. Dotonbori and the Shinsaibashi shopping streets are within walking distance, so shopping, dining and nightlife are all packed into one place, and the Nankai Line runs directly to Kansai Airport, which brings plenty of travelers. It is always crowded and rents are high, so the living environment is somewhat hectic. With overwhelming energy and convenience, it suits single people and office workers with lots of nightlife activity.
