Living in Shimotsuma

An agricultural city in the west of the prefecture, a quiet and secluded countryside city. A local railway passes through, but trains are infrequent, so a life with a private car is assumed.

Shimotsuma is an agricultural city around Shimotsuma Station on the Kanto Railway Joso Line, with the Sanuma area well known. The station is in the city center and connects via the Joso Line toward Tsukuba, and Tsuchiura is 24 km away. Ueno is 55 km, so commuting to Tokyo requires transfers. It is a quiet countryside city with low rent and parking burdens, and life is much easier with a car.
