An agricultural town in the far southwest of the prefecture along the Tone River, bordering Saitama and Chiba. It is quiet and has no railway, so life is by private car.

Sakai is an agricultural town in the far southwest of the prefecture along the Tone River, bordering Saitama and Chiba. There is no station in the town and Minami-Kurihashi Station is 7 km away, so driving to the station to commute is the norm. Mito is far at 68 km, but Ueno is 44 km, so Tokyo is closer. It is a quiet riverside countryside area, worth a look for people who want to lower rent and commute to the outskirts of Tokyo.
