新橋 · Tokyo
The largest junction in the city center, called 'the holy land of salarymen'. Its location, from which you can go anywhere quickly and Ginza is within walking distance, is certain, but its character is business and entertainment, so on weekday nights it is crowded with after-work dining crowds. With small supermarkets and convenience stores rather than large supermarkets, the infrastructure for living alone is thin, so it is not the neighborhood for you if you want a quiet living environment.
It is a junction in the city center where the JR lines, Tokyo Metro, Toei and the Yurikamome meet, and where the Shinagawa and Tokyo Station Shinkansen are also close. Together with the Shiodome office district, izakaya are so packed that it is called 'the holy land of office-worker gatherings', and it is very crowded on weekday nights. As a business and entertainment center rather than a residential one, it is not highly recommended as a place to live. Still, a location with Ginza within walking distance and easy movement anywhere is a clear advantage.
