Living in Yokosuka-Chuo

The central commercial area and living hub of Yokosuka City, the most urban neighborhood on the Miura Peninsula. Faster trains stop here, so you can go out toward Yokohama and Tokyo without changing, and rents are lower than inside Yokohama for the same access. However, commuting to central Tokyo takes quite a while.

Yokosuka-Chuo is the central commercial area of Yokosuka on the Keikyu Main Line. It has a distinct US military base and port-city atmosphere, with restaurants and shopping streets clustered together. Central Tokyo is some distance away, but Keikyu gives access toward Yokohama and Shinagawa. It is the representative urban-type outlying pin for the northern Miura Peninsula living area.
