The old central shopping street of Niigata, located on the west side across the river. Old shops and restaurants continue along the arcade, and at night the entertainment district comes alive. Rents are lower than in the station area, but in exchange you have to use a bus or bicycle to get to the station. It is a good fit if you want a life of walking to find bars and restaurants.
