The hill where the main campus of Kanazawa University stands. Student apartments cluster along the valley below the campus, so demand from international students is steady. Downtown is a little over twenty minutes away by bus, and buses run frequently during the school term. However, there is no railway station, and it is halfway up a snowy mountain, so to live without a car you have to arrange your life around the bus timetable.
