Living in Tawaramachi

Two private railways connect. The connecting station for the Echizen Railway and the Fukui Railway, and the neighborhood in front of Fukui University.

Student studio apartments and cheap eateries cluster here, so it is easy for international students to settle. Fukui Station is a few minutes away by train, so access to downtown is short too. However, both the private railway and the streetcar run infrequently, so you have to keep track of the timetable.
