Students & working holiday

A student district north of Hokkaido University. It was once an entertainment district packed with izakaya, to the point of being called the Susukino of the north, but now it also serves as an administrative center where the ward office, the police station and the fire station are gathered. Sapporo Station and Odori are 5 to 7 minutes away, which is convenient for international students and people living alone, but statistics show that Kita Ward ranks in the lower part of the city for public safety.

This is a student and working-class neighborhood on the subway Namboku Line, north of Hokkaido University. Because it is a university district, there are many cheap restaurants and shared housing options, and access to Sapporo Station is good, so it is popular with international students and people living alone. The bustle typical of a student district is mixed with aging buildings.
