Living in Naebo

The very next stop from Sapporo Station, an emerging residential area where 2022 redevelopment brought 25- to 27-story tower condominiums. A large mall is a 3-minute walk from the north exit via an elevated walkway, so you can shop without getting wet even in snowy winters. It straddles the boundary of Chuo Ward and Higashi Ward, so the ward you belong to differs by exit.

This is a residential and commercial area east of Sapporo Station, with JR and redevelopment in progress. Access to the city center is close, and the arrival of a large shopping mall and new condominiums has made daily life more convenient. Being along arterial roads and railways, it is somewhat hectic.
