Living in Odori

The only transfer station where all three Sapporo subway lines meet, and the middle of the city center. It also connects on foot to Sapporo Station through the underground pedestrian space, which makes winter travel easy. In exchange, the downtown premium is added to the rent, and because it is a city center that includes the entertainment district Susukino, it is a neighborhood where you must also put up with public-safety concerns.

This is the entertainment and administrative center of the downtown, in the very middle of Sapporo, beside Odori Park. Three subway lines cross here, and the park that hosts the Snow Festival and the Beer Festival and commercial facilities are gathered, so it is full of energy in every season. Because it is the city center, rents are high and housing is scarce.
