Living in Soen

The western part of Chuo Ward, where redevelopment of the former JR company-housing site has brought more large condominiums, drawing steady demand from families and office workers. Sapporo Station is 3 minutes by JR, and since 2024 all Rapid Airport trains stop here, which has improved airport access. However, there is no through subway to Odori, so you have to walk 1.4 km or transfer to a bus.

This is a redeveloped residential area west of Sapporo Station, around JR Soen Station. Large supermarkets and hospitals are within walking distance of the city center and new condominiums are increasing, so it is popular with families and office workers. Being adjacent to the city center, rents have risen somewhat.
