Commute & transport

A key hub in the west, so often called Sapporo's second entertainment district, with an AEON connected to the station, shopping streets and a bus terminal all in one place. It reaches the city center by both subway and JR, and is distinctly cheaper even than Odori or Susukino. However, you should know in advance that JR Kotoni Station and subway Kotoni Station are separate stations 700 to 800 m apart, so it is not a transfer station.

This is a popular residential and commercial hub in the west, where the subway Tozai Line meets JR. Access to the city center is fast, shopping streets and living facilities are solid, and rents are reasonable, so there are many students and office workers. Because of its popularity, rents have risen in some areas.
