The central city of southern Ishikawa, beside an airport. With the construction machinery industry and Komatsu University, jobs and schools are in one city. With the Shinkansen extension, access to both Tokyo and Kansai has improved together. Kanazawa is a little over thirty minutes away by local line, so it is a distance where commuting is possible too.
