大森 · Tokyo
Omori is a neighborhood in Ota Ward that has changed from a former district of traditional restaurants and geisha into a quiet, working-class residential area. On the single JR Keihin-Tohoku Line it takes about 6 minutes to Shinagawa and about 18 minutes to Tokyo Station, so commuting is easy for office workers, and Haneda Airport is also close by Keikyu Line or bus. Rents are reasonable compared with the Tokyo average, so many office workers and families have settled here, but with effectively only one line there is little flexibility in transfers, and if you expect a flashy lively district or stylish shopping area it may feel dull.
It is a down-to-earth, quiet residential area of Ota Ward served by the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line. Located just south of Oimachi, it has daily conveniences, and with rents reasonable for Tokyo it has many office worker and family residents. With no large entertainment district, it is hard to expect glamour. Shinagawa is close and Haneda Airport is convenient via the Keikyu Line and monorail, so it suits office workers who travel often and practical-minded residents.
