Commute & transport

A mixed office and residential redevelopment district where the Yamanote Line, Keikyu Line and Shinkansen meet. Its access to Haneda is unmatched, but it is far from a homey neighborhood feel or cheap rents, and commuter crowding is considerable. Redevelopment such as Takanawa Gateway City continues in the neighboring area, so the surrounding area is constantly changing.

It is a huge transport hub of Minato Ward served by the JR Yamanote Line, the Tokaido Shinkansen and the Keikyu Line. Access to the Shinkansen and Haneda Airport is among the best in the city, and a neatly redeveloped mixed office and residential district has formed. With a strong business-center character, the atmosphere is tidy rather than lively and rents tend to be high. It is 7 minutes to Tokyo Station, so demand is especially high among office workers and expatriates who often travel on business or abroad.
