A coastal agricultural city known for farm products such as melons. A country and coastal environment is its strength, and a life with a private car is assumed.

Hokota is an agricultural city known for farm products including melons, and for its coast. Shin-Hokota Station is in the city and connects via the Oarai-Kashima Line toward Mito (24 km), and Tsuchiura is 29 km, so you can reach in both directions. However, trains are not frequent, so it is much easier with a car. It is a country environment close to the sea and farmland with low rent burdens.
