There is no railway station in the town, so you ride a bus about 18 minutes to the neighboring station and change trains. It is a quiet town with a nickname derived from its old pastures.

There is no railway station within Kanmaki Town, so you take a Nara Kotsu bus about 18 minutes to Oji Station and then change to JR or Kintetsu toward Osaka. Because there were many pastures where horses for the imperial court were grazed in ancient times, the town's nickname is 'Pegasus Town', and the site of Kataoka Castle, built by the Kataoka clan in the Sengoku period and taken by the forces of Matsunaga Hisahide, remains, so you can see history while out for a walk. However, with no station within walking distance, a bus transfer is essential for public transportation, so commuting or attending school in central Osaka is somewhat inconvenient. It suits single-person households and families who will live mainly by car in a quiet suburb that retains a nearby rural atmosphere, with strawberry-picking tourist farms and the like.
