Living in Nippori

With the Keisei Skyliner reaching Narita Airport in about 36 minutes at the fastest, this is an old working-class neighborhood of Arakawa Ward that combines Tokyo's top-class airport access with the Yamanote Line. Its strengths are the old alley charm of Yanesen (Yanaka, Nezu, Sendagi) and rents on the cheaper side of the Yamanote Line, about 4 minutes from Ueno and about 12 minutes from Tokyo Station, but there are no large commercial facilities, and the night atmosphere of old streets and many cemeteries is clearly two-sided, a matter of taste.

It is a Shitamachi of Arakawa Ward served by the JR Yamanote and Keihin-Tohoku lines and the Keisei Line. It is famous for the Nippori Textile Town and the old alley charm of Yanaka and Nezu, and there are also many Korean residents.
