利根 · Ibaraki
A town on the Tone River at the southern end of the prefecture that relies on the living area of neighboring cities. It is a quiet residential and agricultural area with weak railway access.
Tone is a town at the southernmost end of the prefecture, bordering Chiba across the Tone River and adjacent to Toride. At 37 km to Ueno, it is among the closest to Tokyo in Ibaraki, and Fusa Station and Araki Station across the river are within 3 km, so driving to a station and taking the train is a realistic way to commute. The town itself is a quiet area of mixed farmland and housing, worth a look for people who commute to Tokyo and want to lower rent substantially.
