Good value

Osaka's transportation gateway, the terminus and starting point for Shinkansen trains where the Midosuji Line also meets. Around the station is a business district with office buildings continually going up, but a little way out the area turns into public housing complexes and residential streets, giving it a dual character, so the evening commercial area is somewhat quiet. It is cheaper than Umeda or Namba, so it suits office workers who travel often on business or over long distances and want reasonable rent.

This is Osaka's gateway, where the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen meet the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and JR. The Shinkansen runs directly to anywhere in the country, which is convenient for office workers who often travel on business or long distances, and Umeda is just one stop away, so access to the city center is fast too. With mostly offices and hotels, the residential feel is somewhat businesslike and it tends to be quiet at night. On transportation alone it is among the best in Kansai, so it especially suits business-related demand with a lot of travel.
