An agricultural city on the eastern coast of Boso, known as a vegetable-producing area. It is quiet, assumes a life with a car, and is not within Tokyo commuting range. Rents are far lower than in the Tokyo region, so housing costs are a small burden for people who work in this area.

Asahi is an agricultural city on the eastern coast of Boso, around Asahi Station on the JR Sobu Main Line, famous as a vegetable-producing area. It is 50 km to Chiba Station and 79 km to Tokyo Station, so it is not within Tokyo commuting range, and daily life is self-contained in the city and nearby. With the sea and farmland close by, it is quiet, and rents are low so it is easy to get a large home, but you can hardly expect big shopping or a nightlife district.
