Living in Ibaraki

A commuter town in northern Osaka with a large student population, home to the Ritsumeikan University campus, with Otemon Gakuin University also relocating nearby. Large commercial facilities such as AEON Mall coexist with the old-style Hankyu Hondori shopping street, making daily life convenient, and with Shin-Osaka in the 10-minute range by direct train, Shinkansen access is especially good. As a popular residential area, rents are somewhat high for the outskirts of Osaka.

With Osaka University and Ritsumeikan University campuses, students and families mingle, and well-developed large commercial facilities make it lively and convenient. Because it is a popular residential area, rents for new buildings are on the high side. JR and Hankyu give good access to Umeda, and the educational and living environment is stable, so it suits both families and students.
