高槻 · Osaka
A commuter town set exactly halfway between Osaka and Kyoto. JR and Hankyu run side by side, so you can commute to either city center, and large commercial facilities and tower condominiums are concentrated north of the station, making daily life stable. However, going toward Namba requires a transfer, so access to the south is somewhat weaker, and rents are on the high side for a commuter town.
This is a popular commuter town right between Osaka and Kyoto, served by both the JR Kyoto Line and the Hankyu Kyoto Line. The JR New Rapid Service reaches both city centers quickly, and with solid living infrastructure such as shopping streets, large malls and hospitals, many families settle here. Because it is a popular area, home prices have risen. Commuting to either of the two major cities is easy and the household environment is good, so it especially suits families and dual-income couples.
