The central station of Hirakata City, where Keihan Main Line limited express trains stop. Yodoyabashi is 22 minutes away without a transfer and Kyobashi 14 minutes, so eastern downtown Osaka is close, and with a department store and Hirakata T-SITE in front of the station, daily life is covered at a single station. However, Umeda takes 39 minutes with one transfer, which puts it at a disadvantage compared with JR corridors.

This is the central station of Hirakata City (population about 400,000) in Osaka Prefecture, on the Keihan Main Line. The Keihan Department Store Station Mall inside the station and Hirakata T-SITE at the south exit provide living infrastructure, and by limited express it is 22 minutes to Yodoyabashi without a transfer and 14 minutes to Kyobashi. However, toward Umeda it takes 39 minutes with one transfer, a disadvantage compared with JR corridors. It is a commuter town for people who travel to eastern downtown Osaka along the Keihan line and want to save on rent.
