Living in Azamino

An upscale residential district in Aoba Ward, Yokohama, planned and developed as part of the Tama Garden City. With wide roads, abundant greenery and very good public safety, it is highly popular with families raising children. However, central Tokyo is around 30 minutes each way, so it is closer to a "comfortable commuter residential area", and the many hills make getting around on foot or by bicycle inconvenient.

Azamino is an upscale residential area in Aoba Ward, Yokohama, where two lines meet: the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line and the Yokohama Blue Line. As an express stop, it has good access to Shibuya, and its well-kept streets are popular with families. It is an outlying location some distance from the city center. Transferring to the Blue Line also reaches the Yokohama direction, and it is regarded as a popular residential area along the Tokyu lines.
