A town in Anpachi District, Gifu Prefecture, with no railway station within the town; you take a bus to Ogaki Station and then the Tokaido Line to Nagoya in about 30 minutes, so it is in the Nagoya commuter zone. Hiyoshi Shrine, founded by the monk Dengyo Daishi in 817 in the Heian period, retains a three-story pagoda that is a national Important Cultural Property, and thanks to the fertile soil of the Ibi River, flower cultivation such as roses and alstroemeria is active, and there is even a park planted with about 300 varieties of roses, the town's flower. However, because the town itself has no station, you have to move according to bus times to Ogaki, and the entertainment area is much smaller than central Nagoya. It suits single-person households and office workers who are used to commuting by car or by bus transfer and want a quiet flower-growing rural atmosphere.
