Urban living alone

The southernmost part of Tokyo Metropolis, bordering Kanagawa Prefecture, and the largest lively district in the Tama area, a transport hub where the JR Yokohama Line and the Odakyu Odawara Line meet. Department stores, shopping malls and shopping streets are densely packed, so daily convenience is better than anywhere else in western Tokyo, but it is a two-sided neighborhood where you must accept the somewhat long distance of 30 to 40 minutes to Shinjuku and Shibuya and the nighttime noise and entertainment facilities of the lively district south of the station.

It is the largest lively district on the border of southwestern Tokyo and Kanagawa, where two lines meet: the JR Yokohama Line and the Odakyu Odawara Line. With developed department stores and shopping streets, it is known as the shopping center of the Tama and Sagami area. As a large lively district, the entertainment district is crowded at night and the city center is far away. With good access in both directions, to Shinjuku and to Yokohama, and reasonable rents, it is popular with both families and young people.
